Peanut Butter Balls Recipe
Equipment
Method
-
In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, softened butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
-
Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until a thick dough forms.
-
Scoop the mixture and roll into 1-inch balls using your hands.
-
Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
-
Refrigerate for 30 minutes or freeze for 15 minutes until firm.
-
Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together until smooth using a microwave or double boiler.
-
Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate using a fork, letting excess drip off.
-
Return coated balls to the baking sheet and add toppings if desired.
-
Refrigerate for about 20 minutes until the chocolate is fully set.
Notes
Chill the peanut butter balls well before dipping to keep their shape. Coconut oil helps create a glossy chocolate coating, but shortening works too. Store chilled for best texture and firmness.
