Instead of treating himself, he turned his special day into a day of charity, handing out 5,000 hot meals to the homeless in the city where he was born and raised.
Being born into this life, Narváez says, is a blessing. “Each of us is lucky to be alive, and if we can, we should do something meaningful to give back to life,” he shares as he hands out meals to people living on the streets. Their smiles, Narváez says, are the greatest gift of his birthday.
“I could throw a lavish party, but true happiness is when you bring joy to others,” Narváez said. “If I can help 5,000 people feel full and warm in their hearts one day, that’s a way to celebrate life.”
