- Cook the Chicken Boil chicken in water until fully cooked. Remove, cool, and chop. Reserve the cooking liquid if needed.
- Make the Filling In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, broth, salt, and pepper. Stir in chopped chicken.
- Layer the Pie Lightly spray a 9×9 baking dish. Spoon half the chicken mixture into the dish. Top with strips of pie crust and dot with 1 tbsp butter.
- Bake First Layer Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25 minutes.
- Add Second Layer Remove from oven. Spoon remaining chicken mixture on top. Add final crust strips and dot with remaining butter.
- Bake Until Golden Return to oven for another 25 minutes, or until crust is golden and bubbly. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

- Add sautéed onions or peas for extra flavor.
- Use rotisserie chicken for a shortcut.
- Swap pie crust for biscuit dough if you prefer a fluffier topping.
