Italian Stromboli

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 slices pepperoni
  • 6 slices salami
  • 6 slices ham
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce, for dipping

  • Baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • Rolling Pin
  • Pastry brush
  • Sharp knife

Method

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Sprinkle mozzarella and provolone evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Layer pepperoni, salami, and ham evenly over the cheese. Add optional vegetables if using.
  5. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder evenly over the fillings.
  6. Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seams and ends closed.
