🔥 SHOCKING SCANDAL ROCKS RAMASWAMY CAMPAIGN: FAMILY BODYGUARD ARRESTED IN MASSIVE DR*G TRAF*ICKING CASE.c1

Republican gubernatorial frontrunner Vivek Ramaswamy finds his campaign unexpectedly under scrutiny after a man who served as a bodyguard for his family was taken into federal custody on drug trafficking charges. The arrest has sent shockwaves through Ohio politics — just as Ramaswamy works to solidify support ahead of key primaries and the general election.

The bodyguard, Justin Salsburey, 43, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, was charged in late December along with his wife, Ruthann Rankin, with conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute large quantities of narcotics through the United States Postal Service. Federal law enforcement officials allege that the couple received 261 parcels containing counterfeit pills and other illegal drugs between August 2024 and late 2025 — a period that overlaps with Salsburey’s time on Ramaswamy’s security detail.

Rankin, 38, a teacher at Urbana City Schools, was also charged and subsequently placed on unpaid leave by her school district. Salsburey remains held in the Franklin County Jail in Columbus pending further legal proceedings.

According to federal complaints, the parcels overseen by law enforcement contained a range of dangerous substances. These included pills that tested positive for fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as other illicit drugs. Authorities reportedly intercepted many of the shipments after postal inspectors received information linking the couple to suspicious mailings.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service, which investigates crimes involving mail fraud and narcotics, played a key role in uncovering the case. Officials say that some packages had postage paid with cryptocurrency — a sign often associated with illicit online drug markets — drawing further attention from investigators.

The quantity and variety of drugs involved led to drug trafficking charges, which carry severe federal penalties. Salsburey and Rankin have been accused of conspiracy to distribute substances containing fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with possession with intent to distribute these drugs.

In response to the arrests, Ramaswamy’s campaign — which is actively seeking to secure the Republican nomination for Ohio governor — said the candidate and his family were “alarmed” by the disturbing news. A campaign spokesperson, Connie Luck, emphasized that the bodyguard was employed through a private security firm, not directly by the Ramaswamy family, and that he was removed from the security detail as soon as the charges came to light.

The campaign also stressed that Salsburey had passed multiple background checks and drug screenings, including those conducted by the security company, the FBI, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and even Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center prior to his employment. Luck noted that he had never failed a random drug test during his time on the detail.
